About the Author

The Ticket Broker Guide was written by self-taught ticket broker, entrepreneur, and website developer – Brittany Menard, from Chilliwack, BC, Canada (just east of Vancouver, BC). When she’s not teaching people how to run their own ticket broker business from home, she manages and develops websites for her steadily growing website development business, Chilliwack Design. Her favorite sport is hockey and she enjoys cheering for the hometown Vancouver Canucks when there isn’t an NHL lockout happening.

How the Ticket Broker Guide Got Its Start

Stanley Cup at the NHL Awards After Party, Palms Casino, Las VegasWhen Brittany was in University, she always loved going to sports events and concerts, but always settled for the cheap seats because there was no way she could afford to pay a broker 3x face value for good seats! she couldn’t believe it when she searched on eBay and saw tickets selling for 3x face value (or more!) Then it dawned on her that she could be doing the same thing, making good money doing it, and enjoying games and concerts even more with the good seats she would be able to get. So she decided to start buying and selling tickets back in 2006 to help put her through University (University of the Fraser Valley), while she got her business degree. She loved following the ticket marketplace and buying great seats and being able to make double her money or even more. It’s a really exciting business and perfect for anybody in University, or that wants to work at home, or doesn’t have a lot of money to start up their own traditional business. She bought her first pair of tickets for $150 and started reinvesting her profits so she could buy and sell more and more.

Learning this business took a lot of hard work though, because there was no guide out there to show her how buy and sell tickets successfully. That’s when she thought, “Hey, I’ve spent all this time and research learning the business myself and there’s no guide out there that offers this to people wanting to become ticket brokers, so why don’t I just write it myself?!” So here it is. The Ticket Broker Guide is THE guide that will teach you how to become a ticket broker and buy and sell tickets.
